THE VAL CAVALLINA
An alternative one-day tour, not very far from Bergamo, starts from Val Cavallina: a lake area surrounded by mountains, scattered castles and chapels which can be explored either by cycling or by walking. The cycling route which goes from Gorlago to the castle of Manasterolo has a break in Trescore where visitors can admire the Oratorio painted by Lorenzo Lotto in 1523. After lunch the trip ends with the open-air museum of Luzzana and the The Park of the Giant.
