CYCLING FROM LAKE ISEO TO BRESCIA
The lake Iseo provides a wide range of trekking and cycling routes, its amazing landscape shows steep cliffs but also gentle paths across the vineyards producing well-known wines especially around Franciacorta. Its coast is dotted with charming villages such as Monte Isola and Lovere.
One of the most famous cycling route is the “Ciclabile della Cultura” which links Bergamo to Brescia. This cycling route allows tourists to visit the splendid Olivitan Abbey of St Nicolaus in Rodengo Saiano, a fascinating example of Middle Ages and Renaissance architecture enriched by paintings by Girolamo Romani nicknamed Romanino, Floriano Ferramola and Lattanzio Gambara.
The second path will be spent in Brescia especially in the art Gallery Tosio Martinengo where the visitors will find the same painters Romanino, Ferramola and Gambara and will try to recognize the landscape they have seen cycling along the Lake Iseo.
