FROM THE VINEYARDS TO S. NICOLAUS ABBEY AT RODENGO SAIANO
Our path in Franciacorta on the Lake Iseo starts from Borgo del Maglio di Ome and crosses the park of Rodengo Saiano . During this walk it will be possible to enjoy the beauty of the woods and vineyards which dominate this landscape and to taste the well-known wine called Franciacorta by stopping at a farm called Al Rocol. Here the owner will warmly welcome us and let us know the traditions linked to the grape growing and processing into delightful wine. The second path will lead us to the splendid Olivitan monastery of St Nicolaus in Rodengo Saiano, a fascinating example of Middle Ages and Renaissance architecture enriched by paintings by Girolamo Romano nicknamed Romanino, Floriano Ferramola and Lattanzio Gambara, all living near Brescia and inspired by the environment previously explored.
