MARK ROTHKO AND HIS CREATIVE JOURNEY IN ITALY
In this video, we take you into the heart of Tuscany for an experience that blends the breath of nature with the profound spirituality of color. We will set off on an immersive hike through the Florentine hills before heading into the heart of Florence to explore the must-see, highly anticipated exhibition dedicated to the master of Abstract Expressionism: Mark Rothko.
VISIT TO THE EXHIBITION "ROTHKO IN FLORENCE"
On March the 25th Double Path led a group of fifty people to the exhibition ‘Marc Rothko in Florence’ installed both in Palazzo Strozzi and in the Museum of San Marco. The tour was very challenging and daring, but surely food for our souls. Our visitors were engagedwith the matching between the amazing mystical visions depicted by the Renaissance master Beato Angelico in the monastic cells of San marco and the abstract compositionsby Marc Rothko. Everybody was fascinated by these brave installations which have beendreamt by the artist’s son Cristopher Rothko since a long time. Now this dream comestrue. Double Path is proud of having put this group of friends in dialogue with Rothko’sartworks, as he strongly wished.

THE ENDANGERED ENVIRONMENT OF THE PEAT MARCHES AND THE MONASTRY OF SAN PIETRO IN LAMOSA
On May the 10th we experienced a new Double Path in the natural reserve called “Le Torbiere” that is Peat Marches on the lake Iseo. It was wonderful and exciting how many species of birds, plants and animals find a shelter in this protected reserve which has been internationallyrecognized one of the rarest wetlands in Northern Italy. The second path led us to explore the Monastry of San Pietro in Lamosa, founded in 1000 AD, by Benedict monks from Cluny,. Thismonastic peaceful site is immersed in nature and overlooks the marshes. It is considered to be an "living monument" because birds live inside its walls. Through this experience Double Path wantsto promote "affective ecology", to make its visitors love habitats like this and protect them because "protecting nature means to protect our heritage".

Patrizia, the founder of Double Path, speaks from a wooden footbridge at the Torbiere del Sebino, a nature reserve of international importance in the Po Valley. She highlights the local biodiversity—home to 70 bird species and 400 types of plants—and explains how her project promotes an "affective ecology" to connect visitors with this endangered wetland habitat.
