BEEPATHNET
Between 2021 and 2023 the town of Bergamo took part to a European project called Beepathnet which aimed at fostering any activity which may preserve bees. Within this project we propose a path which starts from the Botanic garden 'Lorenzo Rota' in Baluardo Castagneta with its splendid view on the high town and the Orobie Alps and develops through the major monuments of the old town such as the church of S. Maria Maggiore with its splendid wooden choir showing honey as a symbol of wisdom. The path will then lead to the aristocratic "Palace Moroni " whose garden shows white mulberry trees linked to the production of silk. Visitors will also be guided across the charming rooms inside the aristocratic palace.
