LOOKING FOR VENUS: NAVIGATION FROM THE NATURAL RESERVE OF MINCIO TO PALAZZO TE.
The theme of this path is the myth of Venus and the element of water. The park along the river Mincio, which flows into the lakes surrounding Mantua, is characterized by a remarkable biodiversity. Visitors can explore this environment thanks to a service of navigation, provided by guides specialized in this environment. This hydrological ecosystem inspired the engineer, painter and architect Giulio Romano in designing PalazzoTe: the flamboyant villa commissioned by Federico Gonzaga and decorated with Giulio Romano’s frescoes. Outstanding is the room of Amore and Psyche where water plays a major role.
